Automatic Water Filling System

The proximity sensor acts as the water-level detection device in the Automatic Water Filling System. Its exact role is to detect when the water reaches a predetermined level and send a control signal to the relay circuit.

 How the sensor works

* Water level detection: The sensor detects the presence of water at its installed sensing point. The detection method depends on the sensor type.

* Signal transmission: When water reaches the sensing point, the sensor changes its output state (ON/OFF).

* Relay control: This output signal controls the intermediate relay, directly or through the timer relay, depending on the circuit wiring.

* Valve operation: The relay circuit energizes or de-energizes the solenoid valve to stop or allow water flow.

### Example of operation

* Tank level is low: The control circuit opens the solenoid valve to allow water into the tank.

* Water reaches the target level: The sensor changes its output, triggering the control circuit to close the solenoid valve.

* Water level drops again: The system can restart filling if the circuit is designed for automatic refill.

Important: A proximity sensor does not necessarily measure the water level continuously. It typically detects water at a specific point. Also, the timer relay provides a delay or timed operation only as configured; it does not inherently measure the water level.

In simple terms: The sensor is the system's detecting eye—it tells the control circuit when the water reaches the designated level, while the relay and solenoid valve perform the switching and water-flow control.
